Nicole Markson- known for her bold voice and unique style, loves creating Dance Music and Inspirational songs with messages to empower people to never give up on their dreams. Her performances move audiences as she takes them on an emotional ride and transformation to believe anything is possible.
Nicole has loved creating music ever since she could remember.
When she was three years old, she sang on stage for the first time at
The Improv in NYC.
As a teenager she idolized all the greats like Donna Summer, Barbara Streisand, Madonna, Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, Cher, and later Celine Dion.
Nicole often sang along to their records dreaming of becoming a Singer, Songwriter and Performer.
Her passion for music led her to take voice lessons with renowned vocal coach Don Lawrence (Lady Gaga, Christina Aguilera, Whitney Houston) . By the age of 13, she was writing and recording.
Her love for the theater and performance led her to attend NYU, Tisch School of The Arts and graduate with a degree in Theater and Communications.
After college, Nicole began performing in musical productions, cabarets, Off Broadway Musicals, lending her voice to jingle and voice over commercials.
It seemed like Nicole was destined to become a Singer, but life took a different turn when she entered her family business, and her dreams of singing fell by the wayside.
The next event would change her life forever.
In 2009, Markson was diagnosed with Breast Cancer which stopped her life in its tracks.
This turning point, life altering event had a profound effect on her and led to deep soul searching and self-reflection. She realized that one of her biggest regrets was not pursuing her singing career.
While recovering from a double mastectomy and chemotherapy, Markson promised herself she would return to music as soon as she recovered. She started writing, recording and performing. In 2013, Markson started her own band, and began performing at iconic east coast venues such as The Saint, The Bitter End, Revolution and Harlem Nights.
She was determined to make up for lost time.
She has been relentless in her pursuit of music and has been traveling to Nashville to record and collaborate with some of the best songwriters in the Nashville community developing her sound and creating a new body of musical works. And it’s been paying off.
As an independent artist, Nicole has broken the top 10 in The UK on the Music Week Commercial Club Pop charts with 4 Consecutive Top 5 Dance Singles including ‘It’s Your Body,” “This Is My House,” The remake of Phil Collins’ iconic song “In The Air Tonight,” and her first ever #1 Record “Elevating Love” with Grammy Award winning Producer Dave Audé, whose resume includes working with some of the most successful artists in music including Sting, Celine Dion, Bruno Mars, Leanne Rimes, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, Beyonce, Lady Gaga and more.
Nicole’s song “This Is My House” was also featured on the Nexstar Productions 2023 New Year’s Eve Bash broadcast to 8 million homes.
Nicole is also a Billboard charting artist on the Billboard Dance Chart with her Song “Higher Than Heaven.”
Her songs have been heard on Sirius XM Radio, and Young Country Radio in Nashville.
